If you are buying a home or commercial building, it’s almost certain that you will need a Wood-Destroying Insect (WDI) inspection.
Although commonly referred to as a "termite inspection", a properly performed WDI inspection, which is required by the VA, FHA, HUD, and most banks, is a thorough inspection of all accessible areas of a home for evidence of termites and other wood-destroying insects (carpenter ants, wood-destroying beetles, etc.), as well as conditions conducive to infestation by these insects. If located a treatment plan will be proposed.
I highly recommend you get a WDI inspection. Termites and other wood destroying insect can do significant damage to a property. My WDI inspections are completed by highly trained professionals that I have worked along side of for years. Contact me for more information or to schedule an inspection.
